The Wisconsin State Journal is reporting that UW offensive coordinator Paul Chryst [will not leave the Badgers](http://www.madison.com/wsj/mad/breaking_news/266340) to take the head coaching position at Purdue.
Chryst was considered by many as the most likely candidate to replace Purdue’s Joe Tiller. The WSJ indicates that Eastern Kentucky coach Danny Hope is now the Boilermakers’ top choice.
The news comes as a sigh of relief to Badger football fans, who have seen a shakeup in the UW coaching staff as defensive coordinator Mike Hankwitz was fired and offensive line coach Bob Palcic left for a job at UCLA.
