A Pitchfork article posted Thursday stating that Hudson Mohawke announced a new North American tour, including a Madison stop April 30, which falls on the same weekend when Revelry Music Festival will be held.
While the tour date no longer appears on HudMo’s website, it still does on the music blog, and given the date it is possible that one of 2016 Revelry’s largest acts has been revealed— even possibly its headliner.
Ayla Kress, Revelry executive director, said in an email to The Badger Herald that she could not “legally comment on the lineup until it is finalized [and] released to the general public” as required by nondisclosure agreements, which are an industry standard.
Given the change in location and drastic change in size, it is hard to predict anything about this year’s Revelry aside from this brief glimpse Pitchfork may have provided.
Revelry Music and Arts Festival to relocate, downsize significantly
Considering last year’s triumph, which included Chance the Rapper and Chainsmokers, Hudson Mohawke being a part of this year’s lineup would certainly be a step toward matching last year’s quality.
