Iration set to bring dub-heavy good vibes to Madison

Iration+set+to+bring+dub-heavy+good+vibes+to+Madison

The weather is finally warm, at least for a little while. What better way to celebrate the warmth than jamming Wednesday at the Majestic Theatre to the summery sounds of the Santa Barbara, Calif.-based band Iration?

Iration, whose members all originally hail from Hawaii, currently stand at the forefront of modern reggae music, bridging the genre’s classic tropes as well as a keen mainstream sensibility. Last year saw the release of the band’s third studio album, Automatic. The album saw them working with Cage the Elephant guitarist Lincoln Parish and it stands as some of their best work yet. They’re currently bringing the sounds of their latest album on their “Automatic Winter Tour,” which also sees them playing the classics from their first two studio albums.

Midterms are coming in hot. If you want a break from the stress, chill out with Iration Feb. 18 at the Majestic. Tickets for the show can be purchased here.
