Five questions for Adam Green and Kimya Dawson of The Moldy Peaches
BH: You say that everybody on stage wears a certain type of costume, can you describe The Strokes costume?
A: I don’t want to talk about that.
BH: Ok, I’ll ask a simpler question, how did you get involved with The Strokes?
K: You don’t care about us do you? You want to get in their pants. [in mocking tone] Have you ever fucked them?
BH: Explain your song writing process…
K: [laughing] we don’t trade any song writing tips with The Strokes.
BH: Has the dynamic of your songs changed since September 11th
K: Lets cut to the chase Matt, No, we don’t play “New York City’s Like a Grave Yard” anymore.
BH: I assume you fight, how do you know when the other member is mad at you?
K: Sometimes Adam punches me in the tit or kicks me in the pussy.
BH: Did 311’s “Who’s got the herb?” influence “Who’s got the crack?”
K: I’ve never heard that one.
BH: Was if rad to play with Peaches at the Bowery Ballroom this summer?
K: That was cool. We actually played their two weeks ago with your fellow Wisconsinites The Frogs. It is always fun to play with them because they are musical heroes of mine.
