Glenn Grothman

Glenn Grothman is currently Wisconsin State Senator service the 20th district. Born in Milwaukee in 1955, Grothman graduated from Mequon High School in Mequon, WI. Grothman was elected to the assembly in 1993 until making a successful bid for State Senate in 2004. He was re-elected in 2008. In 2010 he was selected to serve as the Assistant Majority Leader to the newly republican-controlled Senate.[1] Grothman earned both his Bachelor of Business Administration and his Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Grothman was a practicing attorney prior to entering politics.

Senator Grothman has made no secret of his conservative leanings, particularly with regard to abortion. Grothman received awards from Right to Life and Pro Life Wisconsin. Grothman was also a vocal opponent of the Madison Surgery Centers move to offer second trimester abortions[2].
