HAVA used to keep voters from polls

Written by Rob Hunter

Even though it was passed in the wake of the disastrous 2000 election with the goal of making it easier for Americans to vote, the Help America Vote Act appears to be a tool for some election administrators to actually prevent eligible citizens from voting, particularly in Ohio. UPDATE: U.S. District Court Judge Susan Dlott has ended a Republican-led challenge to the eligibility of 35,000 voters (largely minorities) in Ohio.
