University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh chancellor Richard Wells announced Friday he will remain in his current post.
Wells was a candidate for system chancellor at the Pennsylvania State University System of Higher Education.
In an e-mail to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Wells said the job in Pennsylvania was not the right fit for him.
If he had left, the chancellor position at Oshkosh would have been the 6th open in the UW System’s 13 four-year institutions.
