Another chancellor says he’s leaving the University of Wisconsin System.
UW-River Falls Chancellor Don Betz says he’s leaving at the end of June to become president of Northeastern State University in Oklahoma.
Betz has been chancellor of the western Wisconsin school of 6,400 students since July 2005.
Betz’s departure comes as UW campuses in Madison, Whitewater and Parkside search for new leaders after a string of retirements and departures.
UW System President Kevin Reilly says Betz has been an exceptional leader who worked to enhance the first-year experience for new students.
He says UW-River Falls Provost Connie Foster will serve as interim chancellor while the campus searches for a new leader.
