Madison police said Thursday they have ruled out Brittany Zimmermann’s boyfriend as a suspect in her killing Wednesday afternoon.
Zimmermann was found in her home at 517 W. Doty St. around 1 p.m. yesterday.
According to a police release, Zimmermann’s boyfriend, UW student Jordan Gonnering “has been — and continues to be — very helpful in providing information to the detective team.”
Although no suspect has been named yet, police also said several leads have come in and investigators are looking into them.
Police continue to encourage anyone with possible information to call CrimeStoppers line at
608-266-6014.
Additionally, police told the Wisconsin State Journal they believe Zimmermann’s killer might still be in the local area.
