The Wisconsin men’s basketball team received a No. 3 seed in the Midwest Region and will face 14th-seeded Cal-State Fullerton in the first round of the 2008 NCAA tournament on Thursday in Omaha, Neb. UW will be making its 10th consecutive appearance in the Big Dance.

The No. 3 seed is the second-highest in school history, trailing only last year’s No. 2 seed. The Badgers are 29-4 on the season and won the both Big Ten regular-season and tournament titles.

The winner of UW’s first-round game will meet the winner of the game between No. 6 USC and No. 11 Kansas on Saturday.

The Wisconsin Athletic Ticket Office will be accepting requests for first/second round tickets beginning Sunday, March 16 at 7pm until Monday, March 17 at Noon online at uwbadgers.com. For your convenience, requests will also be accepted by phone on Monday, March 17 from 8:30am - Noon by calling 1.800.GO BADGERS. Requests will only be accepted from Coach’s Club level donors (minimum $1000 donated in 2007) and above.

If tickets remain after 12:30 p.m. on Monday, March 17, the Wisconsin Ticket Office will sell tickets on a first come first served basis to all remaining donors and remaining men’s basketball season ticket holders.

First round tickets are $53. If Wisconsin advances, second round tickets will be $53.
