MINNEAPOLIS — Mallory Deluce scored in overtime as Wisconsin beat Minnesota 3-2 on Saturday in the quarterfinals of the NCAA women’s hockey tournament.
Deluce scored just 1:29 into the extra frame on assists from Jinelle Zaugg and Meghan Duggan.
The win puts the Badgers into the semifinal round of next week’s Frozen Four as they look to win their third straight national championship. They will play Harvard on March 20 in Duluth. The Crimson beat Dartmouth 5-1 on Saturday.
Jessie Vetter stopped 21 shots for Wisconsin while Minnesota’s Jenny Lura had 23 saves.
