The Wisconsin men’s basketball team jumped up in the two major national polls this week after two Big Ten road victories last week.
Wisconsin, with a 23-4 record, beat both Illinois and Ohio State last week and now stands at No. 9 in the ESPN/USA Today poll and No. 10 in the Associated Press poll.
The Badgers, ranked first in the Big Ten right now by just a half-game, leads the Big Ten in the polls. In the Associated Press rankings, Indiana University is No. 12, Purdue is No. 16 and Michigan State, which travels to the Kohl Center Thursday evening, is at No. 19.
Milwaukee’s Marquette University stands at No. 21.
