In the new Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today coaches’ polls released Monday, the Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team moved up to No. 8.
The Badgers were ranked No. 13 in the poll last week’s coaches’ poll but moved up following a strong victory at home against Big Ten leader Indiana and a dominant road win at Minnesota.
Wisconsin is now the highest ranked Big Ten team in the poll.
Michigan State, which led the Big Ten at No. 7 last week, fell to No. 10, and Indiana moved down from No. 11 to No. 13.
The Badgers are now 18-3 on the season with a Big Ten leading 8-1 conference record. The team travels to Iowa Wednesday and hosts Purdue on Saturday.
In-state rival Marquette stayed put at No. 16 in the poll.
