Another roller coaster of weather conditions will hit Wisconsin over the next couple days.
Much of the snow on the ground across the Madison area began melting Monday morning with temperatures, according to the National Weather Service, expected to reach the mid-40s.
January has already brought major snowfall, tornadoes, record high and record low temperatures to the area, and temperatures by Tuesday will drop to or fall below zero. Wind chills are expected to be around 25 degrees below zero.
Rain will likely begin in the area sometime Monday and eventually convert to snow by late Tuesday with several inches possible by late Tuesday night.
Temperatures by later this week will rebound to the mid-20s.
