Wisconsin junior goaltender Brian Elliott injured his left ankle during practice Wednesday afternoon. The extent of his injury was not immediately known as the Newmarket, Ontario native was taken to see a doctor, according to UW Hockey Sports Information Director Paul Capobianco.
Elliott has been one of the most impressive players in the country this season, posting a 1.40 goals against average and a .944 save percentage, both tops in the nation among goalies who have played in 12 or more games.
No. 1 Wisconsin hosts No. 19 Denver this weekend and No. 4 Minnesota in two weeks.
