Wisconsin’s women’s basketball schedule, released last week, features 16 homes games and eight teams that appeared in the NCAA tournament including Big Ten champion Purdue, West Coast champion Pepperdine, and runnerup Missouri Valley Champion Drake University. Also included are two schools from the Pac-10 in Washington and Arizona, and cross state rival UW-Green Bay, which won the Horizon league last year, and Marquette University.

Seven of the 16 home games are on Sunday afternoons.

Wisconsin goes west for a Thanksgiving tournament at NCAA qualifier Pepperdine with St. John’s and Texas-Arlington. UW returns a date with Washington also on that swing. Seattle is the hometown of starting center Emily Ashbaugh. The Badgers play at NCAA Elite Eight finalist Drake on Dec. 13 in Des Moines.
