MINNEAPOLIS (REUTERS) — Wally Szczerbiak scored 20 of his 22 points in the first half and Kevin Garnett added 20 and eight rebounds as the Minnesota Timberwolves cruised to their fourth straight win, 107-86, over the Golden State Warriors.

Szczerbiak made sure the game was over by halftime, making nine of 17 shots in the first 24 minutes, including two of three from three-point range. He scored six points during a 13-4 run late in the second quarter to give Minnesota a 55-45 cushion, and his three-pointer at the buzzer gave the Timberwolves a 60-50 halftime lead.

Garnett picked up the offensive burden in the second half, scoring six points during a 10-1 burst that put Minnesota ahead by double digits for good. Joe Smith had 18 points and 12 rebounds against his former team, and Gary Trent added 14 and eight for the Timberwolves, who have won four in a row on the heels of a season-high three-game slide.

Danny Fortson had 17 points and 14 rebounds, and Bobby Sura scored 16 points for Golden State, which has lost its last five visits to the Target Center.
