MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin football team has rescheduled its game with Western Kentucky to Sept. 29 in Camp Randall Stadium, according to Director of Athletics Pat Richter. Kickoff is set for 1:05 p.m.
The Badgers and Hilltoppers were originally scheduled to face one another on Sept. 15 before the game was postponed because of Tuesday’s national tragedy. WKU was supposed to face Illinois State on the Sept. 29, but those two institutions will play each other on Nov. 3. Each school had an open date then.
“
We appreciate the efforts of both Western Kentucky and Illinois State in helping us make these schedule alterations,” Richter said. “Schools all across the nation had to work hard this week to change schedules after Thursday’s postponements. We could not have rescheduled our game so quickly without the diligent efforts and cooperation of both Western Kentucky and Illinois State.”
The Badgers have never faced Western Kentucky on the gridiron. The Hilltoppers are 1-1 this season, losing to Western Illinois and defeating Kentucky State.
Wisconsin fans should use their original tickets to the Sept. 15 contest for admittance to Camp Randall Stadium for the game on Sept. 29.
