Fitting in accordingly with the brand new Business School, The Capital Café mirrors the renovation and innovation that the building was constructed upon. Centrally located on campus on the corner of Park and Johnson, The Capital Café provides local convenience and comfort. Amid the lush round booths and ample bright lights, the Capital Café offers a variety of meal options with a soft spot for healthy eaters. Though a bit more pricey than other campus locations, the quality overrides the cost as the Café carries fresh salads, paninis, deli sandwiches, and soups, complete with healthy sides and snacks. Patrons can even complement their meals with a cup of coffee from Peet’s Coffee and Tea just next door. Even the trash disposal fits the eco-friendly theme of the building, with separate disposal areas for food, meat, and paper. It seems the only complaint of The Capital Café is the crowded lunch hour starting just before noon. With an influx of instructors, businessmen, and students, finding a table can be quite the challenge. As more and more students and faculty discover this hidden spot, it appears that my favorite spot isn’t so secret anymore. On your next visit, try the Turkey Club Med.
