In response to “Why we should worry about the weather” by Courtney Ehlers:
An increase in temperature will not cause problems with disease carrying mosquitoes. It would increase the number of mosquitoes but I doubt there would be any significant increase in diseases carried by mosquitoes. Besides, the only disease carried by mosquitoes in this area is west nile. Seems like you just put together a bunch of facts from various sources and tried to make them into an article. Nice try…
In response to “Election is little more than color” by Patrick Johnson:
Red and blue don’t matter any more, only green matters. The next presidental candidates will need to raise a billion dollars for their campaigns. Barack Obama has destroyed campaign finance regulation in this country for a generation. We have learned from the Obama campaign’s exploitation of the small donor loophole that current law has destroyed transparency in campaign finance. That allows foreigners to finance American elections without Americans knowing it. Obama wins thru dirty money and vote fraud, what a lesson for next time. I guess that’s no big surprise, after all it is the Chicago Way.
In response to “Voting: A civic duty” by Lori Berquam and Matt Wendt:
Voting is not a duty, but it is a right. Part of our conception of rights is the freedom to not express them. As such, go forward and vote for my candidate, but if you disagree with me, freedom sure is a wonderful thing.

While I love reading the comments on the OpEd section of the Badger Herald, I have to wonder if collaborating 3 comments from varying pieces and labeling it “three readers who hate change” is kosher. These readers have the right to their opinions as I have the right to mine, as Susie has the right to hers, and Joe the right to his. I have to question the herald’s motives and tactics in the title used for this. C’mon guys.
What a horribly misleading title to this piece. These readers don’t hate change, but just disagree with the assorted opinions on the page (especially that tremendously awful global warming article).
foreigners can not contribute to campaigns, even if they are ‘small donors’. Campaigns are expected, and do, give the money back. Badger Herald, I do believe you need a fact checker.
I bet these people could go for some Global Warming(tm).

Obama wins with dirty money and vote fraud.
Is that the change you wanted?
I REALLY wonder how much money will be spent in the next election - I predict billions.
Courtney Ehlers needs to take a course in disease ecology. If you increase carriers, you increase transmission, you increase disease reservoir, and thereby increase disease carriers. Nice try…
“Obama wins with dirty money and vote fraud.”
No, he won by not being Bush, Cheney, McCain or Sarah Palin. Republicans will lose this argument every time, because they run the worst candidates with the slimmest chances of winning.
There is not much excuse at this point for anyone to think that greenhouse gases are causing global warming, or that they present any other threat. The planet is rapidly cooling due to the recent fall off in solar activity, just as it warmed during the twentieth century when solar activity was high. Human impacts are negligable.

Whatever you say, 1:43. Dirty money and voter fraud never tasted so sweet.
You lost. You got stomped. Trounced. Crushed. You FAILED.
Deal with it.
The extra 550 million dollars was the real reason BHO won. That, and the Chicago Way tactics. Cherish the new electoral playbook!
I just can’t wait for the next election. I hope that turnabout will be acceptable to all concerned.
I love hearing Republicans bitch and moan! SUCK IT, you lost!
