I’ve listened to enough talk radio to know Russ Feingold may be the only member of the United States Senate whose soul is not for sale in Hell. Although most politicians may indeed be agents of the Devil, the past eight years of American political shame have convinced me compromise is necessary in Washington and Madison alike to prevent unconscionable incompetence from prevailing and ruining our lives. Nevertheless, I hope that during my time on the Ed Board at the Herald I will articulate positions consistent with the interests and beliefs of students — rather than the interests and beliefs of, say, our parents. My main political interests include civil liberties, state corrections reform, environmental policy and campaign finance reform.

Jack, loved your cover story for The Isthmus this week. Perfect combo of info, personal commentary, and just plain fun. Very impressed.
