In light of the recent fires that affected two separate residences and impacted more than 35 UW students near our campus, I’d like to publicly recognize the efforts of the following:
The Madison Police Department
The University Police Department
The Madison Fire Department
The American Red Cross
The University Book Store
University Housing
The University Hospital
The donors for the Dean of Students Crisis Loan fund
The many faculty, staff and other students who came together to assist our students in a time of great need.
The partnerships and web of support for our students are of utmost importance to us in the Offices of the Dean of Students, and I sincerely appreciate the efforts and assistance provided to our students during these crises.
On behalf of the staff here at UW-Madison, thank you for all that you do.
Lori M. Berquam
Dean of Students
