In response to "U.S. lacks individuality of years past" by Rob Rossmeissl:
Sorry, Rob, but there never really was such a thing as individuality. Even in the free-wheeling, do-your-own-thing 60's all the hippies looked the same, and I don't mean you couldn't tell the guys from the girls either. I mean they ALL wore bell-bottoms, they ALL smoked pot, they ALL listened to the same rock bands. Individualism? It's just a pipe dream.
In response to "Kaplan's remarks need clarification" by Gerald Cox:
As a Hmong man, I prefer to turn Kaplan's comments to a challenge and intend to prove in a civilized manner that he was wrong. My dad always said turn a big problem to a small problem and make a small problem disappear. There are times where negative compliments actually serve you better than positive ones. Let's get back to classes and get educated.
In response to "Photo ID legitimates votes" by Meredith Togstad:
Why do we have to go to the polls at all when everyone of us has a unique social security number? We could vote over the phone or internet… that would be if "they" actually wanted a strong turn-out.
Maybe to make everyone happy we could have a punch card system. This way we have to show our ID but after the seventh election we get a free hat. - Germain E. Stemme
In response to "Abstinence-only message unsafe" by Emily Friedman:
Everyone seems to ignore the fact that adolescence is a recent man-made concept. Once you hit puberty in some cultures, you're an adult. In our culture, you have to be coddled until you're a) old enough to be blown up in Iraq or 2) old enough to consume alcohol.
So, Bible bangers, God designed you to have sex at puberty, but you reject HIS plan for you until YOU'RE ready. Logical?

Thanks for publishing my comment. I enjoy commenting on all of the articles even though I don't add much to actual discourse.

Hey that's cool I have a alter ego! I like his commenting style but I don't use big words like discourse.

I agree with what's been said here but still would like to try to say something witty but not really about it.
