Students, alumni and local media outlets spent the last week speaking out against the disappearance of “Jump Around” at Badger football games.
After increased pressure, the Chancellor decided to carefully gather the facts and announced late yesterday afternoon that “Jump Around” will indeed be played at this weekend’s football game.
Wiley’s decision was correct. The feedback sent to him, the athletic department and the outpouring of letters undoubtedly helped make this decision easier for him, particularly after all safety concerns had been put to rest.
We applaud Chancellor Wiley on his decision and we hope to see him jumping around with the rest of us as we look to defeat the Running Rebels of UNLV Saturday.
