I am a concerned student in my third year and I am distressed at the lack of accountability that exists for student organizations receiving segregated fees. I would like to see my tuition put to good use. In the past, ASM has not done what it should have to ensure that each organization is using its money in a shrewd manner.
I have talked with candidates for the upcoming election, and it is my belief that the REACH slate has the best remedy for the problem. The representative from the slate that I spoke with outlined concrete actions that are fit to assess practices by organizations that receive segregated fees. It would undoubtedly highlight student orgs that are using money unscrupulously. Please UW campus, let?s cast a vote that will bring accountability to the segregated fee system.
