The University of Wisconsin Police is currently investigating a possible armed suspect incident in the Eagle Heights housing area.
UW sent out a WiscAlert at approximately 10 p.m. encouraging people to avoid the Eagle Heights area because of a “possible armed suspect” in the area.
UWPD is looking for a black male with a red and black flannel. The suspect was heading west from University Houses.
Ald. Scott Resnick, District 8, said he did not know much about the investigation aside from UWPD patrolling the greater campus area.
Resnick called the incident a “very rare occurrence,” especially in the Eagle Heights area.
