Walker makes charitable bet with Ill. governor

Loser must wear winning team’s jersey; donate to food pantry

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker says his NFC Championship Game bet with Illinois Governor Pat Quinn involves team colors and some volunteer time.

Walker says the losing governor of the bet on Sunday’s Green Bay Packers-Chicago Bears game will volunteer in a food pantry in the winner’s state wearing a shirt from the opposing team.

Also, Walker says the loser must fly the opposing team’s flag in his governor’s office a day before the Super Bowl.

The governor says he got a lot of great ideas for the bet on Twitter, including tweets offering Wisconsin cranberries, bratwurst and Door County cherries. Those items will be contributed to food pantries.
