University of Wisconsin sophomore Audrey Ruth Seiler, 20, has been reported missing since Saturday at approximately 2:30 a.m.
Seiler was last seen at her apartment building, The Regent, where she was said to be studying for the night.
Anyone who knows where Seiler is, or has seen her, should contact the Madison Area Crime stoppers at 266-6014.
“She wasn’t the type to wander off,” said Seiler’s father, Keith Seiler.
“She is a great kid.”
She was last seen wearing an oversized burgundy Abercrombie and Fitch hooded sweatshirt, navy blue sweatpants and either white flip flops or tennis shoes.
“It looked like she was going to be returning shortly,” Seiler said, adding that the door to her apartment was open and her cell phone and purse were both left in her room.
He said there was also a book on her bed leading them to believe she had been studying.
Her father described her as a “non-drinker” and “not a partier” and said she studies a lot.
“She is very focused on academics,” he said.
Officer Shannon Blackamore said the family is offering a reward for anyone who has information on Seiler’s whereabouts.
He described her disappearance as being “atypical.”
Blackamore said the police are utilizing many resources and have marked off her apartment at the Regent as the crime scene.
He said they are also investigating other circumstances they think may lead to her discovery.
Keith Seiler said his daughter has a roommate but she was gone the night of the disappearance.
Friends and family say they have been distributing flyers to apartment buildings and other populated campus areas such as State Street.
Police have been looking for her since 2 p.m. Saturday.
Currently, K-9 Search and Rescue dogs are assisting in the search.
Seiler is from Rockford, Minn., and is a communicative disorders and speech pathology major.
