University of Wisconsin police arrested an 18-year-old student accused of cutting another 18-year-old male student at Sellery Residence Hall early last Saturday morning.
Brant E. Thundercloud, a Sellery resident, is currently in Dane County Jail and has been charged with Substantial Battery. Other charges are pending.
Thundercloud is scheduled to appear in court Monday afternoon, according to City Council President Mike Verveer, District 4.
UW Police responded to the Southeast Dorms area at 12:59 a.m. Saturday morning after receiving a call reporting that a man had been “stabbed.” Officers made contact with a student who was involved in an altercation at Sellery who had a cut on his arm from a knife. The cut required multiple stitches at the UW Hospital Emergency Room.
According to police reports, this appears to be an isolated incident involving alcohol, and the knife used was recovered.
