Two 21-year-old men, one a University of Wisconsin student, were arrested in the early morning hours Sunday and charged with second-degree sexual assault.
Ryan T. Heider, of Madison, whose name is listed on the UW directory, and Patrick R. Boenigk, of LaCrosse, were allegedly walking along West Dayton Street with the victim, a 21-year-old woman from Madison, shortly after midnight Sunday morning when the two men forced themselves on her and sexually assaulted her between two houses, according to a Madison police report.
Leaving the area of the alleged assault, Boenigk and Heider were picked up by police several hours later and booked into the Dane County Jail. Police say their investigation continues.
