Men’s hockey: 2008 captains announced

At their team banquet Friday, the UW men’s hockey team announced a number of award winners as well as next season’s captains.
Last season, Davis Drewiske served as team captain, with junior Ben Street and senior Kyle Klubertanz as assistant captains. Wisconsin’s 2008-09 roster will have two captains an no assistant captains.
Donning the “C” on their sleeves next year will be Street as well as junior Blake Geoffrion. It’s the first time since 2003-04 that the team had more than one captain.
Drewiske was honored with the Spike Carlson MVP Award, as voted by his teammates. He also took home the W Club Community Service Award.
