Beloved Madison comedian David Gray died on Friday at the age of 33. He began his career performing weekly at Ark Improvisational Theater with fellow group members Joan Cusack and Chris Farley. Over the course of his career, he was featured numerous times on ABC’s “Funniest People in America”and often opened for performers like Adam Sandler. Gray is probably best known for hosting his popular local cable access show, “The Gray Area.”He was also a frequent headliner at The Comedy Club on State Street. Gray had recently moved to Chicago to study and perform improv at Improv Olympic. Passionate in all aspects, Gray devoted his life to the art of making people laugh—and he always succeeded.
