Five freshmen television series from the new fall season advanced to the head of their class Tuesday, as Fox, NBC and CBS gave passing grades to some of their best-received new shows.
Fox made a full-season commitment to its new half-hour sitcom Undeclared,'' while NBC made a similar commitment to two of its new dramas,Crossing Jordan” and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.” Meanwhile, ABC ordered a full season for its new new sitcom According to Jim,'' and its spy-thriller dramaAlias.”
The wave of new show commitments followed CBS’s previous announcement that it would pick up an entire season for its hour drama The Guardian,'' and NBC's that it would do likewise for its half-hour comedyScrubs.”
